The main entrance opens onto a hallway leading into the dining room (left) or 2nd floor (in a straight line) or to the bathroom and kitchen on the right. The 1st-floor bathroom has a shower/sink/toilet and a front window. The kitchen, with wood cabinets and granite countertops, has windows onto the solarium. Washing dishes has never been so pleasant as the view is magnificent! The solarium with windows on 3 sides lets you appreciate the tranquil environment and serenity of the lake. You can access the patio and the BBQ through the patio door.

Between the kitchen and the dining room is the staircase to the basement. The dining room also offers a beautiful view of the lake and, above all, an unrivalled ambience thanks to the fireplace. It can be accessed via the kitchen or the entrance hall. Beyond is the very large living room with a window on the front and French doors to the patio.

On the 2nd floor, there's a bathroom with jetted tub, and 3 bedrooms, 2 of which are currently used as offices. The master bedroom has 2 windows, 1 with an exceptional view of the lake and Mont Orford.

Access to the basement is from the kitchen or from the front basement door. The original basement has a ceiling over 6 feet high. There's a furnace, wood stove, washer/dryer area and cedar closet. When the house was extended to include a living room, the area below was excavated. It's now used as a workshop, exercise room and cold room. Does your teenager want a bedroom in the basement? It would be possible to convert this room, which already has 2 good-sized windows.

What else do you need?

A garage to store your 2 small sports cars or other big toys? There's an insulated, heated garage with a wood stove and concrete floor. To avoid cluttering it up, a shed is attached to it, accessible from the outside.

What more do you need?

An accessory building to sleep your large family and friends? There is one, divided into 2 insulated and heated rooms, the 1st resembling a small loft with wood stove and the 2nd currently used as a room where hours of dedication to a hobby have been spent.

The water's edge can be reached by descending a few steps, and there's a wharf where you can enjoy a glass of wine while watching the kids swim. The bottom of the water is made of pebbles so it's very pleasant compared with what might be a clay bottom.

Shore Acres Club was founded in 1930 by A. Sangster. The Club's purpose is, among other things, to oversee and manage the common areas (two rights-of-way leading to the lake and the part of Sangster Road that lies within the Club's boundaries). There is an annual membership fee and rules to observe. It gives residents a sense of belonging and fraternity.
